Warning signs not to overlook: know early, care for them promptly

💗 What does a normal period look like?

Menstruation is a normal part of life for women of reproductive age, but do you know what “normal” really means? Let’s take a look.

📅 Menstrual cycle frequency

  • Periods should come every 21–35 days

  • Some people have it exactly every 28 days, while others may not come on the exact same day and it can still be normal.
✅ If it comes every month with intervals of no more than 35 days, it is considered normal

Duration of menstruation

  • In general, it should last no more than 8 days

  • If it lasts more than 8 days, or stops and starts repeatedly, there may be an abnormality that should be checked.

💧 Amount of blood loss

  • Typically, blood loss is about 20–80 milliliters per cycle
(about 4–6 sanitary pads per day , depending on the type and absorbency)
